Mark Komisky and Will Clemens Named Finalists For Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2005 Award
Baltimore, MD May 06, 2005 — Mark Komisky and Will Clemens of Bluefire Security Technologies were named as joint finalists by professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2005 Awards in Maryland. Mr. Komisky and Mr. Clemens were selected from a pool of thirty-five nominations in Maryland by a panel of independent judges comprised of area leaders from business, academic, and civic organizations. Winners will be selected and announced at an awards banquet on June 23, 2005 at the Hyatt Regency Inner Harbor.
Maryland winners will be eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2005 national program. Winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif. in November 2005.
Mark Komisky, Chief Executive Officer
Prior to co-founding Bluefire, Mr. Komisky was a founder and senior vice president of Greenspring Advisors, a consulting and early stage investment advisory company where he provided business development support to its portfolio companies. His expertise lies in software and information systems technology, business contracting, intellectual property issues, and data analytic systems.
Will Clemens, Chief Financial Officer
Prior to co-founding Bluefire, Mr. Clemens was chief operations officer of Greenspring Advisors, a consulting and early stage investment advisory company, where he was responsible for business plan development and general incubation management activities and served as chief financial officer to two of Greenspring’s portfolio companies. Mr. Clemens began his career with Arthur Andersen in Washington and later joined Legg Mason as an investment banker engaged in a broad range of middle market corporate finance activities within numerous industries.
