Bluefire Showcases Enhanced Solution for Protecting and Managing Wireless Handheld Devices
Company Unveils Solution at Gartner IT Security Summit
Washington, D.C. – Gartner IT Security Summit July 19, 2004 — Bluefire Security Technologies today announced a significant enhancement to its solution for protecting and managing wireless handheld devices. By combining the multilayered handheld security features of Bluefire Mobile Firewall Plus with XcelleNet® Afaria® frontline management capabilities from iAnywhere Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc. (NYSE: SY), handheld devices can receive updated security policies over a wireless connection without requiring a companion desktop or laptop computer. The combined solution allows enterprises to deploy new policies and upload device security event logs in real time, streamlining management and reducing administrative costs.
Bluefire Security and iAnywhere are demonstrating the combined solution this week at the Gartner IT Security Summit, Booths 614 and 616.
